Key Phrases/ Vocabulary
Student did not follow the rules for writing the short story.
The beginning, middle and end of story are not clear; student used one or two key phrases and vocabulary words.
The beginning, middle and end of story is somewhat clear; student used some phrases and at most 7 of the vocabulary words.
The beginning, middle and end of story is mostly clear; student used the phrases and at most 9 of the vocabulary words.
The beginning, middle and end of story is very clear, student used all of the phrases and 10 or more of the vocabulary words.
Presentation Appearance

Grammar
No presentation.
The presentation was not creative or have related information (vocabulary words not underlined, no pictures.) Grammar was horrible.
The presentation was basic and okay. It was a little creative, but not much effort was used.
There were a some grammar errors
Student made a Power Point or handmade book and it was well done.
There were one or two grammar errors.
Student followed directions. Story is organized and easy to understand. It is clear that a lot of effort was put into it.  There are no obvious grammar errors.

Student had most information memorized and it was clear that they had prepared.

The teacher could understand most of the words.
Student had all information memorized; flow and expression was great.

The teacher could understand everything.
